Earick Rejects Spurs Acquisition Offer After Approach

The long-serving executive directed Spurs' transition to the state-of-the-art venue in recent years.

US technology mogul Brooklyn Earick has rejected making a formal takeover bid for Tottenham.

Spurs had earlier “firmly declined” an preliminary inquiry from a investment group spearheaded by Brooklyn Earick last month and maintained the club was off the market.

However UK takeover and merger rules stipulated that, after an informal proposal rejected, the interested parties needed to make an offer by 24 October or declare they would refrain.

Verification of the determination was issued in a release released by Spurs to the stock exchange, stating the team is “not in an offer period.”

He shared an snapshot of the announcement on social media, remarking: “It was a privilege engaging with Spurs and the owners' agents over the past few months.

“I have high regard for the organization, its management, and its supporters, and desire only the best.”

Spurs' leadership expressed gratitude to the consortium for its “positive engagement” in discussions and for “respecting the firm stance” of the shareholders that the club is not for sale.

Earick is a former DJ who also served in spacecraft research for the space agency before founding the innovation company, which specializes in technology, communications, sports and recreation.

The informal offer was the third expression of interest rejected by the club's board since the sudden departure of long-serving chairman the former chairman in last month.

In early fall, the team rejected proposals from former Newcastle United shareholder Amanda Staveley's PCP International Finance Limited and a consortium spearheaded by Dr Roger Kennedy and the co-investor through Firehawk Holdings Limited.
