Nintendo alongside Illumination unveiled the debut comprehensive teaser for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie on Wednesday. The reveal happened in a Nintendo-focused broadcast that centered on the upcoming animated film.
The follow-up to the successful 2023 release The Super Mario Bros. Movie, this fresh entry will propel Mario to the distant reaches of the cosmos. Along the way, he discovers a different royal figure and a challenging new adversary in Bowser Jr., the son of the King of the Koopas.
An Interstellar Journey Inspired by Classic Games
Similar to the games from the Wii period that provide its foundation, Mario will venture away from the cozy environment of the Mushroom Kingdom to explore outer space. During his grand adventure, he will meet again some well-known personalities, for instance the Luma, a fan favorite from the original cinematic release.
However, it seems Mario and his brother Luigi will confront a new threat in the form of Bowser's angry little boy, who seemingly commands metallic abilities.
